Dawn has experimented with a variety of miscellaneous
hand-crafted projects. With encouragement and guidance
from her friend Ellen Hotis, she has created many styles of
woven baskets. For a short period of time she created
small but intricate paper filigree or "quilling"
designs made from thin strips of paper that are rolled, curled
and glued to a backboard. Most of this work has been done
with flower themes. A recent interest for Dawn has been
the creation of seasonal decorations of wreaths and
centerpieces. These are made from "silk"
flowers, leaves, and vines to create very realistic looking
products. The following examples highlight Dawn's skills
as a multi-talented artisan.
